We have arrived in Houston! We all made our way to the Edmonton International Airport for about 4:00 AM this morning. Pastor Darren was there (to drop off his wife) but also to see us off. There were no real issues except that we had one jar of peanut butter get confiscated. Apparently that is a threat to airport security.
The 4 hour flight itself was uneventful. We all sat relatively close together on the plane, which was a full flight. Bill Thompson, our Samaritans Purse (SP) team leader was already in Houston and had the courtesy room ready. Bill introduced himself to the team and we prayed for the trip and for lunch. We all went our separate ways in the Houston airport for lunch.
Now we wait fopr Lorraine to join us from Phoenix. She is due to arrive around 5:00 PM. When she arrives, Bill will undertake a group session with the team and our flight will depart for Managua at 6:40 PM.
